Publication Rules

Publication Policy:

In order to be considered for evaluation on the final test set, participants are required to submit a method description paper, which should follow the IEEE ISBI template format (a link to the Springer LNCS template was erroneously provided before - please use the correct template for your camera-ready submissions!).

The method description paper should detail the key steps taken to develop the method used on the final test set, with particular emphasis on the following aspects:

  • Data preprocessing and augmentation techniques employed
  • Method description, including any novel contributions or modifications to existing approaches
  • Post-processing steps, if any were applied
  • Results analysis, including quantitative and qualitative assessment metrics
  • A link to the public code repository that implements the method described in the paper

Paper submission to IEEE ISBI 2024:
All participating teams should publish a four-page paper through the CMT to IEEE ISBI 2024.
The deadline for paper submission to IEEE ISBI 2024 (through the CMT) is April 18th, 2024.

Challenge Paper:

After the conclusion of IEEE ISBI 2024, the challenge organizers will collate the results and prepare a challenge paper for submission to relevant academic journals such as IEEE TMI, MEDIA, LNCS issue, or similar. Top participants are invited to be co-authors for this challenge paper.

Additionally, participating teams are encouraged to publish their own results separately in academic journals or conference proceedings to disseminate their findings and contribute to the wider research community.

Please note that none of the final results ('Test Phase', in case of JustRAIGS) will be available to the participants before the meeting at the conference. Therefore, while authors may include information on the preliminary performance ('Development Phase') in their paper, they will all be without the final results. The papers will thus be reviewed based on their scientific merits. The organizers of the challenges do have access to the final performance and may use this data to differentiate between poster and oral presentation.
